Weather Considerations for Driving
Summer (Dec-Feb): Afternoon thunderstorms common. If driving in heavy rain, reduce speed on gravel sections. Unsealed road drains well but can be slippery immediately after rain.
Winter (Jun-Aug): Morning fog possible in valleys. Drive cautiously if visibility reduced. Fog typically clears by 9:00-10:00 AM.
All seasons: Wildlife (wallabies, pademelons) active at dawn and dusk. Drive carefully on Limpinwood Road and Youngs Road during these times.
